The Steel for the Large Venue Entertainment Centre in Kingston, Ontario was fabricated and erected by Benson Steel in 2006-2008.

It is 1445 Tonnes of structural steel. The arena was designed by Brisbin Brook Beynon Architects and was constructed by EllisDon.

In 2013 it was renamed as the Rogers K-Rock Centre and more recently it is known as the Leon’s Centre.

The inaugural concert at Leon’s Centre was performed by The Tragically Hip on February 23, 2008.

On August 20, 2016, The Tragically Hip played their final concert of their Man Machine Poem Tour to honor lead singer Gord Downie in his farewell concert.
